Sandy Maranto recently moved with her husband, Tim, to their "empty nest" in Salado from Round Rock and is enjoying the Village immensely. Bluebonnet Road is the first musical she's been in since college, and it's been a "few" years since college for her. While she hasn't been involved in theatre as an actor/singer in quite some time, she has had several short plays she's written produced in Austin in the past couple of years and most recently produced her full-length play, They Serve Brisket in Paradise, for Austin's 2020 FronteraFest's Long Fringe Festival. In 2019 during FronteraFest's Short Fringe Festival, Sandy advanced to Best of Week for her storytelling piece, Never Clip Your Toenails While Under the Influence of Drugs (the adult version), and a monologue she wrote, The Gods of Disdainful Judgment, performed by Austin actress Cathie Sheridan, advanced to Best of Fest

the same year.
